Hi everyone,
The market has been very volatile of over the past months, and people are talking about recession. I think now is a good time to maybe hold off with some new investments until some of the fog clears. Nobody knows if we are close to a bottom, but there are many uncertainties out there, mainly with the housing market but also the overall economy.
Here are some issues to keep in mind when you ponder what to do with your cash:
- Stock markets are often six months ahead of what will happen in the economy
- Stock markets tend to rise the fastest right after reaching the bottom, so if you holding out too long, you could miss a good chunk of the recovery.
Obviously there is no crystal ball, but watch what is happening, don’t believe everything you hear in the media. If the money you are investing is longterm, getting in a little too early will not really harm you.
