One of my readers asked me if he should get life insurance now that his children are out of college?

I believe term insurance is an absolute must if you have dependents. Once they are gone, there are a few reasons for them. Let me list some:

• Estate Planning – Permanent life might make for sense depending on situation
• Business related reason
• Other investment related reasons such as investment real estate with a large mortgage
• Dependent parent

In general, be careful getting into life policies before looking at other options. I will talk some at a later time regarding permanent life policies.
