Hello everyone,
In one of the emails that I received, a reader asked me how do you budget for items you only pay once a quarter?
First of all, make sure you account for them in your monthly cash flow / budget.
Then, depending on how disciplined you are, you can leave the money in the checking account and use it when you incur the expense. Some people prefer to have a special savings account where they keep that money until they have to spend it. Going that route keeps the money out of view in the checking account.
It is OK to have separate accounts for different situations, if that keeps you from spending too much. Do what ever works for you.
