Patrick Peterhans-Financial Planning Book Author

Patrick Peterhans is a Certified Financial Planner with his own Financial Planning Practice. He is a graduate of the Entrepreneur Program at the Business School at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is presently married and has three children. He currently lives in the beautiful Front Range of Colorado, just outside Boulder.

Patrick Peterhans was born and raised in Switzerland. He started the process of financial planning and investing at an early age of 12, surprising both his family and friends. He later on moved to the United States in 1987 to attend USC, and after living in Los Angeles for six years, he moved on to Boulder. On course, he learned all he needed about the various aspects of the Financial Planning with huge experience in working with small business consulting and accounting practice. He also had the opportunity to obtain hand-on experience of working with some top-notch companies, involving in their various financial planning practices. In the late 90s, Patrick moved his practice toward personal and small business financial planning.

Patrick enjoys what he does the most, helping his clients with their diverse financial needs. He finds that his clients are as diverse as the subject of financial planning itself, and he considers his work to be the most exciting aspect for him.

Patrick is passionate about financial planning and has always loved the financial markets and the money. At the age of 12, he closed his savings account, shocking his parents, which made no sense in him to find so little returns in a saving account. He went on to open a brokerage account and invest in stock market.

Over the years, Patrick has also learned that being knowledgeable about other subjects besides just the investment part is equally important for a safe financial future. According to him, the greatest enemy for most people in their financial success is their mind itself.

Taking responsibility is a big thing for Patrick. He advices people that `taking financial responsibility is the only route to financial security`, as you will hear a few more times in this book. He also goes on to mention that ‘you are the one that cares the most about your money’.
